Get an API key
Create a free account (the Free plan comes with 250 credits a month, no credit card), open API keys in the dashboard and create a key. Keys start with ag_. Keep it in an environment variable:

Make your first call

Look up an app. {app} takes any identifier: a store URL, an App Store id, a Play package, a bundle id or just a name. Every request goes to https://api.appgoat.ai/v1 with the x-api-key header.

Every success is { data, meta }. meta.credits_used is what the call cost, meta.credits_remaining what you have left and meta.freshness how old the data is:

Give it to your agent
The hosted MCP server at https://api.appgoat.ai/mcp exposes the same data as task-shaped tools (get_app, get_reviews, keyword_research, …). In Claude Code:
